REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH EDUCATION SHOULD BE PROVIDED IN SCHOOLS WITH FOCUS

 







Development stakeholders in Rukwa Region have called on the government to include the issue of reproductive health in the education curriculum, so that it can be taught in a series of regular classroom sessions with the aim of empowering students, especially young people, to avoid pregnancy and marriage at an early age.

The call was made in Rukwa region for a working session that brought together development partners. A wood is Plan International, Yess TZ and government officials aimed at increasing common understanding on how to improve the education curriculum so that reproductive health can be taught from primary and secondary education.

For his part, some government officials in the presence of the education administrator from the president's office said that the government has already done so, while other stakeholders stressed the importance of investing in reproductive health education for young people.

Some of the students who participated in the conference expressed their hope if reproductive health education was provided in depth.

Properly provided, reproductive health education for young people will reduce pregnancy and early marriage, especially for young people, and they will achieve their dreams.
